Sweet lemons

When life gives you lemons, Victor, you make the best out of them, there is no doubt. When life gives you a kilo of the most yellow lemons on the market from a random seller on the street, you come home right away and make the most delicious limonade that makes my lips smile. You start smiling also because you see me happy...

...but there is a problem.

Your limonade is also the sweetest i've ever tasted, which i find quite strange because you don't add sugar or honey in it. Not even a little.

I got curious, you know... i am a woman after all and i cut a lemon open to take a bite. I found myself eating it like it was an apple and my face didn't make any funny gestures. Moreover, i was smiling because the sweet juice was dripping off my chin...and that was the moment when, strange enough, i got sad.

That very second when i came to the realisation you are not the right person, Victor. I am feeling so sorry to break it to you like this but,dear... no matter how much i think you are amazing, where i am coming from, the lemons are supposed to be bitter.

We take two lemons and we squeeze them. Then add water, but not to much. We add also some mint for refreshing thoughts and we use a tiny spoon of honey for the small joys in life - but we enjoy our life as it is, bitter, and we don't trust anything that is too sweet and that was not supposed to be.

So when life gives you lemons, Victor... don't take them all - you are not supposed to.
